Educational Objectives

At the end of this conference the participant should have knowledge of the following areas:

 

  • A general overview of the state of the art in cardiac electrophysiology.
  • Treatment of atrial fibrillation including medical therapy, ablation techniques, surgical approaches, device management and patient selection for each of these therapies.
  • Device management of heart failure including biventricular pacing and defibrillation with an understanding of the latest clinical trials.
